Apple's a company that prides itself on its secrecy, so if the latest batch of rumours surrounding the next iPhone actually do pan out -- and it's once again worthwhile pointing out that they are still just rumours, not confirmed facts -- somebody in Cupertino must be fuming. We've seen leaked shots of the new iPhone, and overnight video surfaced of the same parts, adding to their potential veracity.
Now almost every Apple rumour site is stating that they believe Apple's holding a September 12 event where they'll launch the new handset. (Depending on who you believe, there may also be an iPad Mini launched the same day.)
Whether the rumours do come to fruition or not, it'd be a relatively poor idea to sign up for a new iPhone contract right about now; if you're keen, a little waiting might bear an entirely new model for the same kind of money.
