Apple's been vocal since last year about introducing a new, smaller type of SIM card standard, dubbed the 'nano SIM', and as the image above shows, the nano is here and ready for deployment in the new iPhone expected to be announced tomorrow. The nano SIM measures 12.3 x 8.8mm and is about one third smaller than the micro SIM it is set to replace (in Apple's lineup anyway). According to Pocket-lint, who published the picture above, Vodafone UK confirmed via a now-removed blog post that it had 500,000 of the new SIMs in stock ready to go. The new images come a week after pictures were published online of German T-Mobile nano SIMs. Now let's just hope clumsy man hands here can handle these little pipsqueaks.
